Skincare: From the Inside Out

Everyone wants to preserve their youth. Everyone wants to have radiant skin. Know one wants to work for it. In a world of quick fixes and instant gratification, skincare myths are prevalent. The truth is nothing comes easy. Great skin is something you have to work at and maintain.

Every good beauty regimen starts from within. Drinking 6-8 glasses of water per day, eating 3-5 fruits and vegetables per day, and proper exercise is the first step to ensuring, hydrated, healthier looking skin. (Surprise, Surprise!) There are many other natural supplements that can be used to assist the maintenance of great skin, but this article can be considered “skincare for dummies” for lack of a better term.

A huge part of great skin, believe it or not, is attributed to your inner feelings of peace or turmoil. It is important to assess your spiritual gas tank. Are you full or empty? If your tank is low then you may need to stop and fill up at the Holy Ghost gas station.

The fastest face lift is to smile! When you are sad. Smile! When you are mad. Smile! If life isn’t dealing you the hand you want. Smile! When money is tight. Smile! Ok, I think you get the picture. Then pray, worship, and have faith that it is done. Then Smile some more.

Everything starts from within. Inner peace will always overshadow the results of creams, surgery or injections. But a good skincare regimen is a vital part of beautiful skin.

Proper maintenance is the key. In next month’s article I will discuss in detail the five steps to preserving skin. If you have specific concerns or questions that you would like me to address, please e-mail me at womenwav@gmail.com. I look forward to sharing my own wisdom as well as consulting industry professionals (with more complex concerns) in order to bring you accurate and up-to-date information. I am here to help bring out ”The First Lady” in you.
